The Brawl

It is always a challenge trying to edit something under a deadline.  I had filmed this video with a buddy of mine a couple weeks ago.  It is really easy to get a rough edit done.  However when you lose momentum on a project it is hard to get back going again unless you have a deadline.  Today was the last day to submit a film for the film festival so last night I stayed up until 4:30 am trying to do some finishing touches on my video.  It was way more intensive than I had originally planned.  There were some shots where I had to mask out a VFX for each and every frame, not once but twice because of multiple layers and effects.  It's funny, every time you finish a project and render it, you will always find some flaw that you thought you had fixed but it somehow got reverted back to its old way of playing.  The finished project on youtube is still missing a few audio elements and I will go back and fix it when I have time.  I have already submitted this video for the film festival.  Let's just hope it doesn't get rejected like my last one!  Well, please enjoy the latest MyJimmyRig creation!

The other day my home teacher texted me saying, "Hey man, I really want to make a movie."  I was like, sweet!!  Someone else wants to help make movies with me!  So we got together and started brainstorming ideas.  It was kind of a crummy day and he was watching his kids.  As we were talking his wife got home early and then we just decided to film something just for fun and this is what we came up with.



We then decided to get together another time to work on some other ideas that we had.  I love having a friend to do stuff with.  Danielle is great and all but she doesn't really like being shown on camera, so that doesn't help.  We are currently working on another film so stay posted for that one.  This film was shot on Chris's camera and edited on my system.  If you have any questions or comments just leave them below!
